Distributor vetting
We only onboard wholesale distributors established in the European Union. Before a supplier can list, we verify company registration, VAT identification and the commercial basis on which they hold the goods.
Professional retailers carry the risk when a supply chain cannot be explained. This page sets out exactly how designer inventory reaches the VAITTO catalog — who we buy from, what we check, and the European rules we trade under.

Every consignment is accepted against commercial documentation — supplier invoices and packing lists that tie the goods to the distributor of record. Stock without a documented chain is not listed.
Inventory is inspected on receipt at our European warehouses: article and style codes, serial or QR identifiers where the brand uses them, labelling, packaging, dust bags and accompanying cards.
Only inspected stock is published. Listings carry the brand, article code, condition and season so you know exactly what you are buying before you commit budget.
Orders are picked against the same article identifiers and dispatched from EU warehouses with tracked, insured transport, so each unit remains traceable from goods-in to delivery.
Matched against the supplier invoice line and the brand's own coding format.
Checked where the brand applies them to the item, label or care tag.
Composition and care labels, size labelling and construction reviewed against reference examples.
Boxes, dust bags, authenticity cards and tags recorded at goods-in.
Past-season stock is graded so listings reflect the real state of the goods.
Sizes, colourways and quantities reconciled to the consignment before listing.
VAITTO is part of VAITTO GROUP, based in Hanau, Germany, and trades under EU commercial law as a business-to-business platform. Our Terms & Conditions govern every order placed on the platform.
All orders are invoiced B2B. Intra-EU supplies to a retailer with a valid VAT identification number are treated as reverse charge where the billing country and VAT ID country match; otherwise German VAT applies.
Goods bought from wholesale distributors established in the EU circulate freely within the single market. For destinations outside the EU, the recipient is the importer of record and is responsible for duties and import VAT.
We screen orders against applicable EU sanctions and export-control rules and will refuse or cancel any order that cannot be fulfilled lawfully.
Full detail is in our Terms & Conditions, Shipping & Returns and Imprint.
